All things fall are happening right now and I'm breathing in all of the crisp air. This is what I call the second most wonderful time of the year. There is something magical about fall, maybe it is the witchcraft and wizardry that comes with the holiday. Either way, I can't get enough! I love this yummy exfoliant and I use it year round but because it’s scent reminds me so much of fall, I thought now was the perfect time to share. (Yummy for your body, not your tastebuds.) It's so easy to make and it works wonders. Exfoliating has many many benefits! I think we all know that it removes dead skin cells and helps with clogged pores. It also increases the blood circulation and lymphatic system which helps encourage new skin cells, breaks down fatty tissues, and breaks down and drains toxins from the skin. The ingredients in this one definitely get the blood circulating and the contents of this exfoliant are packed with benefits. Cinnamon and baking Soda have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties helping to reduce the size of pores, cinnamon also has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, ginger can be used to tone skin, increase circulation, and detoxify, the vitamin A and vitamin C in allspice make it a good choice for skin, and nutmeg has natural astringent properties that'll help heal acne. Whether you have dry, normal, oily or sensitive skin, exfoliation can bring new life to your complexion and help rejuvenate your skin. Exfoliating leaves your skin beautifully soft, and in addition to the immediate visual benefits, the removal of dead skin cells speeds up the skin renewal process. Not only will this help with fine lines and wrinkles, but it will help to ease discoloration as well. (tsbeauty) With that said, I basically swear by exfoliating.

1/4 cup baking soda 1 tablespoon nutmeg 1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice (blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger)

INSTRUCTIONS: Mix together and that's it!

NOTE: This is a powder/loose exfoliant. It is not a paste or cream of any kind, however, you can add some of the dry mixture to the palm of your hand, mixing with a little bit of water, to maneuver more easily. I love to use mine in the shower!

Happy exfoliating! :) + don't forget, after exfoliating, the skin is ready to absorb a good moisturizer!
