This artwork is so cute to do with kids‘ fingerprints and also pretty fun...or just a mess! It's a great craft to make as a Mother's Day gift as well! We made some adorable pieces and I love decorating with decor like this! It’s simple, stylish, cute, and also meaningful—being tiny fingerprints instead of just regular dots of paint, (which would work too). We purchased the canvas, picture frame, and candle all from the Dollar Tree and used paint that we had on hand (pun intended).
The canvas and the candle were straight-forward and self-explanatory. With the frame, I cut out a piece of card stock and painted a background before adding the fingerprint art. We used Waverly chalk paint in the colors ink and mineral, which I have used and mentioned in past projects. I love this paint!! Tip: to avoid spots appearing as globs of paint, achieve unique detailed prints by tapping the finger onto a thin layer of paint (dab on clean surface to remove excess as needed) before applying print to each art piece.
